Up until the sites closure which I believe was in the 60s
As well as the main buildings there were a number of timber buildings in the adjoining fields these were manned 24 7 365
But nobody in Pleshey knew what there role wa I have leaned a lot since joining you

That is typical of that type of site. They quite likely had four masts or poles around hut.
Just read a book about St. Erth and it said everyone knew they were listening to the Germans! Though when I tried to find out about a RN DF site near Oban, several people in the area assured me there was not a site there.

Yes Martin I can remember the masts around the huts
Do you know when the huts were taken down seem to think it was in the 60s
I remember the staff only stayed in Pleshey for 3 years and then went away sometimes to Scarborough and Malta probably elsewhere as well

No idea of dates, I suspect fairly soon after the end of the war at most sites.

I can remember the Ford End site being staffed well into the 50s
