Can someone identify this bombing range please?

I had trouble with this one some time ago as the target looked to be solid with an outline also being an oblique the translation to vertical is very difficult to visualise. Local candidates are Pickering, Roos, Spaldington, North Frodingham and Strensall. Strenasll and Spaldington can be discounted as Strensall had a circular target and Spadldington was close to clear remains of the Howden sheds. I would say Pickering and Roos look the most likely but as targets changed during the war, the late war photos may not show the same thing.

The only target I have seen with light and dark colours was at Snape but that was the reverse of those here. Incidentally the IBCC has a nice vertical of Wardley range, although not labelled as a bombing range.

I have attached two maps of the suspected ranges to help with comparisons. The Roos one shows the two locations of the range, pre 1943 and post 1943. I ssume the earlier smallr range is the one to focus on given the suspected dates of the photo.
