I came across this when visiting St Mary The Virgin parish church in Hanbury ..The village has a memorial as well as the roll of honour in the church. The gravestone iis interesting but as far as i can make out there were no local horse drawn tramways.

Which Hanbury is it William? Staffordshire or Worcestershire? Where is there mention of horse-drawn tramways, on the headstone? I cant read it properly.

Worcestershire . i assume tramway from the design of the tub which is not a typical farm cart and the chain coupling 'also the wheels appear to rest on a rail if this grave was in the black country i would be almost certain it was a large coal tub .The wording of the stone tells no details of the death but the picture suggests theat while unhitching or hitching a horse he fell or was knocked onto the rails and run over by the cart .it is all speculative but interesting.
