New airfield in Kent

Would any members like to support the proposal for a new airfield at Little Mongeham, CT14 0HR? Details of the planning application can be found at www.dover.gov.uk/planning ref 21/00626
With so many airfields closing or under threat of closure its good to see a proposal for a brand new one.

Have you seen Welshpool?

One of the former RAF airfields outside Shrewsbury (up towards Oswestry on the West side of the A5?) had power lines running across the airfield, but was still in use as a private strip when I flew out of Sleap.

Edited to add: Looking at the comments against, it looks like they're pretty much entirely a) completely lacking knowledge of the difference between an airfield and a monoculture farmed field in terms of wildlife, b) NIMBY and c) have they ever actually lived near a working farm? The majority of the British countryside is not "peaceful, quiet and relaxing", it's a working environment with lots of use of really quite noisy plant and equipment!

peerlessg; I missed this as it was buried away in an area where I seldom look.
I think you should re-post it in a forum called www.forums.co.uk where you will get more response from possible users as the forum is aimed at the light aircraft community.
