Gas Decontamination Buildings was created by Jim UCC
Hello All

quick query on surviving decontamination buildings and what inside. Have one here at Limavady, really good condition but also has Porton Air Filtration unit still in situ in the filter room. Do these survive much in GB (the filters that is) or are the fairly common? This is the first one I've came across with filter still inside.

any help greatly appreciated

Jim

That building is in remarkably good condition. I recall in the 70s there being a filter unit in the example at Saltby. However the building was in very poor condition the render had come of many of the exterior walls. The building was demolished late 70s, maybe early 80s.
