My wife put you up to this didn't she. She wanted a weekend without me talking to her 
I did actually look at some of these a few years back when Googling direction arrows but not specifying UK only. I am resisting the urge right now but the shakes have started.
Two years ago it was the location of remains of the EIRE signs around the Republic of Irelands coast, after I found that each one had a number.
