Have these two from Eglinton outside Derry. I'm guessing Bain hangars because its RNAS, but that's a guess, Anyone know for sure?

Could be Bain but I have never seen a twin version. Best get inside and look at the stanchions for any clues.
You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

Are they not classified as 'Sheds' rather than 'Hangars'?
And to the right the building with the clerestory roof is, probably, the former WW2 Parachute Shop?

The parachute store in good condition, repurposed for years as mechanics shop, ops block still intact, not to mention the many many hangars, loads at Eglinton

For comparison, this is an extant Bain Hangar at Evanton also a former RNAS airfield. NGR NH 62564 67243

Its been locked for years. Believe it or not because I'm doing contract for government I do have right of entry under legislation in NI. However this is only one of a couple of thousand i've to get through....

Purely from memory but I have a feeling it was said that was the paint shop.
