Dug up at RAF Chipping Warden

HS2 are busy digging extensively on the former site of RAF Chipping Warden. They have turned up a large quantity of heavy duty electrical cable and junction boxes from alongside one of the runways. I assume they would have supplied power to runway lights and they are quite large and heavy. There is also another type of runway light that I have not previously seen. Also found are two concrete covers that may been access for something in either the perimeter track or runway. Any information or advice gratefully received. Smudge

The boxes are actually transformers. They were to maintain the supply should a filament burn out.
