Very nice and interesting story. Thank you for sharing. I will pass on to the museum.

The builder of the castle model above is in need of some detail photos of the building inside the walls. I have some friends still at Mildenhall, Lakenheath, and I just found out there is one at Alconbury that I asked to "run" over to castle to take photos. But I don't think they will come through in time. Can any ARG members send us some photos or know of any available on the Internet? Believe me, we looked.

The castle grounds received the first vegetation since the last photos. Since the project will be completed on 28 August I probably won't post any further updates until then.

Thanks again.
-Mike

Mike, Jack's Story by Jack Brackenbury first published 1995 Printed and Bound in Great Britain by Fleet Press, St Albans, Herts, UK.

It was £6.99p when first published and pre enjoyed copies are available £9.50p

www.amazon.co.uk/Jacks-Story-Jack-Brackenbury/dp/B007HBDDVI

Jack Brackenbury, a saddler and coller maker born 1910 ~ Writes about his boyhood memories through life in Suffolk and Oxfordshire.

Cover Photograph is of Jack making a horse collar ( No cover picture shown on any of the web sites )

The book is well written plus for those visitors who are not military minded it will add some additional scope with first hand domestic descriptions to support both your outstanding diorama and the locations described in the book being easily located on Google Earth Maps.

The contracted media company still has to make the final electrical connections for the video screens and lights, but, otherwise I am pleased (and relieved) to say it is finished! With over 3000 hours spanning 18 months the 1/700 scale Station 153 diorama will be ready for the 2016 390th BG reunion in October. For now I can only show some more teaser pics. The 1/144 scale Framlingham Castle is complete minus the poor house. The poor house is still under construction and will be revealed later.

Thanks again to all for your interest and support of this project.

Greetings,

The 390th Memorial Museum held it's 2016 Reunion in conjunction with the re-dedication of the 95th BG Memorial at the Pima Air & Space Museum on October 8th, 2016. Some highlights include Keynote Speaker Donald Miller, author of "Masters of the Air" (photo 1); Mr Peter Kindred, President Parham Airfield Museum Committee (photo 7); and dedication of the Station 153 Airfield Diorama & Framlingham Castle model.

The Sonoran Desert Model Builders are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this 2 year project. But, we are happy to be done......
Thanks again to all at ARG that provided assistance. Please enjoy this final installment of photos.

Mike

Ditto. The biggest problem is the cleaning off the nose prints :)
