Cheers Richard. I'd already seen that page and then promptly went and forgot about it. I think I found the site by following a link on another forum. Can't remember that either but I'll have it book-marked. I do recall reading that these etched-brass kits are perhaps the best you'll see at the moment, although some of them come in at a fairly steep price but they're probably worth it.
I've not dabbled with this medium yet, so I might go for something simple before attempting one of these!

"We either stand down or blow up - which do you want!"
I have a list of plans that cover dozens of buildings, some, such as the Parachute store has 3 such drawings each with differing official, drawing numbers.
These 4mm plans are ideal for anybody wanting to try and build their own. I must confess that I haven't tried Etch -brass.
They are primarily from wartime technical sites and anybody interested then send me a PM and I will send you the list if nothing else.
many thanks.
Ian
I think I asked this question before, but has anyone tried using one of the card cutting machines that can be run from your PC. My wife has one and it cuts card very easily with some very intricate shapes. I'm not sure if you can use your own drawings but people say you can. I believe some of them also cut plastic (white and clear) but I doubt metal sheet can be used. It would seem ideal to use for repetitive buildings especially the windows.
No Amount Of Evidence Will Ever Persuade An Idiot (probably not Mark Twain)
Just a few days ago I was talking to a young lady who was studying 3D design, in particular using plastic sheet. Her dad owns a brewery. I might need to continue our conversation.
Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite

I would like to hear more of this cutter machine.
I would presume that to maintain accurate cuts there would be a limit on the card (plastic) thickness ???
My daughter has a Cricut machine which plugs into her laptop and cuts paper/ thin card. She has in the past made me a case for a Raspberry Pi computer, and uses it for paper cuts, for instance some thing like this
