Did somebody try to improve/detail 1/144 diecast Halifaxes/Lancasters/Wellingtons ?
Which brand do you suggest ?
I think it's an interesting scale for diorama's seen 1/72 scale bombers are taking to much place.
Your experience welcome !

Staples & Vine (previously known as Diverse Images) produce some excellent quality 1/144th scale bombers although their range seems rather limited these days. They are expensive at over £100 each and also the cockpits are solid pewter rather than clear plastic.
I often look at the die-cast ones as a more robust model and as my modelling skills are that of a seven year old these days, and probably a better option. The only drawback it the oversized panel scoring and rivet plus of course the chunky joins. I still keep looking but have yet to buy.
