Unfortunately I did not. That was certainly a highlight of the show,... but also for me a camera down and enjoy moment.
My wife always tells me off for wasting to much time fluffing around with the camera instead of watching the actual show,.. and shes right.
Some times you just have to cross your arms and take in the event.
I'll miss the metal moth,... She had such grace and power. (the Vulcan not my wife btw)
This years RIAT will have the 70th Anniversary of the United States Air Force as it's main theme. The Thunderbirds have already been confirmed. I though it would be a good idea to update this thread with some phoros from ten years ago when RIAT celebrated the US's 60th. All these photos kindly shared by Rob Feeley. Just as well as my photos where terrible on my old instamatic back then lol!!. Thanks Rob. -
I'm really looking forward to seeing the thunderbirds at RIAT this year.
I'm also hoping for some large black triangle shapes in the sky too ... fingers crossed

With the absence of Mildenhalls Air Fete nowadays, RIAT is pretty much the only show in the UK likely to get strong USAF participation. Definitely the best bet to see 'large black triangles' at this year. Encouraging to see that the F-22 is on the publicity poster this year. Fingers crossed!!!
