I see that the MOD is promoting the use of its sites as film locations. This part of the MOD site has links to many varied sites including airfields (Barkston Heath selected):

They've been doing that for a while, notice how all toweres are in the 'art deco' design!

.....and did you also notice how out of date it is, and also when it was last updated? There are also some MOD sites such as brock barracks in reading, which isn't even listed!!
