Airfield related buildings on the market!

I thought it would be a bit of fun to post up on here if you spot and airfield related building on the market seeing as there has been a couple of links on the "Control Towers as Houses" thread.

Fantastic idea of living in an old control tower - good big windows with metal frames (!) and original exposed brick walls. And surely some lovely views too. But somehow, a bit spooky!

Are RWY's, hangars, etc... still excisting as seen on website "Aerial views of UK Apts & Aflds" ?

Any project to use the RWY for a local aviation club ?

As much as I hate to see the demise of any station, that is a beautifuly executed development which faithfully uses all the original buildings and messes. Those officers houses are a lovely design, and considering the quality of the buildings, are priced very reasonably.
Well done to the developers on this one (especially in current uncertain housing climate), and hopefully other stations can be as sympathetically re used as West Raynham.
BTW is the tower still there, and does anyone know what its future is?

Not sure if this link will work but on the market in Milden, Lavenham, Suffolk is a house with an airstrip!!

The address is Milden Church Road. Two possible strips are 700m N/S or 580m NNW/SSE at
52 05 12.24N 0 51 26.04E. Mansion of a house-pool-tennis court-heated hangar and workshop.

On the Milden property, if you look at the agent's brochure you will see that it is gorgeous. Of note, the pictures show in the hangar (or is it in one of the workshops?) part of the Mew Gull replica which is now in the RAF Museum at Hendon. One wonders if the property is still on the market. I did wonder what I might do with the £100m I won on Euro Millions last month!

I should add that this property is, of course, the home of Tony Ditheridge's Hawker Restorations Ltd.
