Was reading about RAF Ramsbury and came across a note that ten British Concrete Federation huts, known as BCF huts, were built there. None remain. Are there any still in existence at other airfields? Are they noted as BCF huts on the plans?

Hi Tommy,
There are six remaining at Deenethorpe, listed on the Site Plan as "Barrack Huts, A/Ms, B.C.F., Dwg. No. M.D.H./7".
All the best,
PB

This is / was a Ministry of Works BCF hut at Riccall c.1980 (WAAF site)
61' x 18'6". Used principally 1942/3. The MoW Orlit hut was similar but used narrower concrete panels.
From AP 3236 I calculated that around 1,450 were built (Orlts + BCF).

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite
