There is a thread somewhere on this forum mentioning other airfields that 'didn't quite' make it ie planned but never built. One I remember was Rotherwick, Hampshire; situated north of RAF Odiham and about midway between Bramley Munitions Depot and Arborfield Garrison and another at Ashley Green, Herts where they got as far as building a large blister hangar and that was it.
