Some of the useful numbers in Feltwell's Flying Control Log included:
Lakenheath Bombing Range 6440
Berners Heath Bombing Range 6440
I assume this is 6440 k/c and not a phone number. I also gather 6440 was classed as Bomber Command's R/T guard frequency. Why were tow local bombing ranges on the same frwquency and one that is shared by Bomber Command generally?
