I wonder if anyone knows of any Nissen/Romney buildings that need saving? The Stirling Aircraft Project is looking for a new workshop after being given notice from our existing one at Alconbury Weald.
One of our options may be to provide our own building, and what would be more fitting than to use an ex-military building.
We would need at least 4m height to be able to cope with the Stirling fuselage recreation, and ideally 5m. Ideally 50-100 ft in length.
We would aim to disassemble (unless already done, which would be ideal) and then reassemble on a new site.
Obviously also a small hangar would also be appropriate if it can be disassembled, or if the site were to be available more generally.
