RAF Croughton
Former grass airfield, very similar in construction as RAF Bicester. Now a communications station under the USAF.
Quite a chequered history by all accounts.......

Could be also one of the best preserved, all grass, expansion period airfields left from the era... after Bicester of course :wink:

Bircham Newton - CITB College. If see a tower crane, chances are it's driver was trained there.

There's one near me that's used for flying! Can't get more obscure than that! I believe it's called Biggin Hill.

On the subject of obscure uses the lists at the back of the Holliss & Willis book used to include current (1985) use. It would be interesting to see how many have changed.
