I wonder if we will see a display team of Gnats or Fiat G91's? Be just like old times. Apologies to other display teams from the seventies I did not mention.
We do occasionally see the Gnat Display Team at shows Peter. Sadly it was one of their aircraft involved in the fatal crash at Car Fest in 2015 but they do still appear as a duo from time to time.
The Irish Air Corps Silver Swallows where a nice Magister display team. They always put on a graceful display. Must dig my pics of them out & post them up at some point.
I don't recall seeing the Silver Swallows but my airshow visits declined after 1988. I do recall a pair of Gnats, one as a Yellowjack and one as a Red Arrow flying together. Also there were, for those of a certain age, the Red Pelicans (Jet Provost) Blue Herons (Hunters) and the Macaws (Jet Provost). I remember them from the Biggin Hill RAF at home shows but I think they had gone by the time I bought a decent SLR camera in 1973.
I am sure I have seen a Fouga Magister in more recent times but I can't think where.
