I saw a documentary about Kegworth. After the Staines Trident crash and all the problems with members of the public it became policy to keep the public well away from air crash sites.

However the police had a problem with all the M1 traffic, and they were lucky. Among the people in the traffic was a minibus full of fourth year medical students, another with a load of RNLI lifeboatmen, dont laugh at that, their all first aid trained. And finally there was a landscape gardener in his van with all his kit. He was used by the police to dig steps in to the motorway embankment and to cut down trees.

According to Wiki the captain of the 737 at Kegworth sued British Midland for unfair dismissal, and won.

And today the first Poseidon arrives at........ Kinloss!!!!

Remind me why the RAF moved out!

Im not a full member so cant read that. But I do know Lossie is having to have a lot of work done to it and the Typhhons are moving over to Kinloss but Q is going to be at Leuchars. Correct me if Im wrong but I can recall there being a plan for additional Q bases in the early 2000s, and Im sure Kinloss was one of them.
