Hello, I'm new to the site but have an interest in North Weald because I am a big fan of Hawker Tempests and I am informed by the engineer at Wickenby, airfield, Lincs. that the Tempest he and they were renovating at Wickenby is now to be restored to flying condition at North Weald. Is there any news on that project please?
Thanks in advance...

Long time since I last saw it but wasn't it a Tempest used in the opening sequence of the film 'The Sound Barrier' where the pilot experienced mach buffet?

The Mark V in the US will be a Sabre and the Mark II a Centaurus.
