Its being speculated that the crash of the flight inspection aircraft at Dubai may have been due to wake turbulence from an A380 landing on the other runway.

QANTAS are apparently considering doing non stop flights from Sydney to Heathrow and JFK. Their going to do long distance test flights using company employees as passengers, and if all goes well schedulded services will start in 2021.

Somehow I dont think these flights will now go ahead. And I think given whats happened with the 747 I think the A380 will be a bigger white elephant than Concord(e).

QF operated a few non stop trial flights pre Covid using the B787
