What was this site located near RAF Coltishall ?

I've past this site many times over the years, but only today did i stop and investigate further. Located on the B1150 North Walsham Road, this site is literally a stones throw from RAF Coltishall, but what was it and does it have any connection to the Airfield. Before i looked i thought it may be a clutch of farm buildings but once there it became clear there is more to the place.

Is it an Anti Aircraft Site??

Don't think it is. I have just checked the post-war coverage on the Old Maps website, there is no evidence of the "lollypop" layout of a standard AA site. Interesting. Wish I knew about it when I was posted to Colt.

Two of the pillboxes are on DOBDA. Might be the "head shed" and fuel tanks/generators for the Decoy Sites?

Further to my last. I have just realised (DB that I am!) that the western-most Pillbox at that site is noted on DOBDA as being "from the Site Plan". Therefore (3 Dots) there appears to have been - at one time - a Site Plan. And DOBDA must have had sight of it. If it still exists then it would appear to answer the original question. I did Field Survey Reports for DOBDA when it was gathering data, but how you can now access all that data I don't know. Got to be in there somewhere - just a question of digging it out.

It has just come to light that TAG may well be using Coltishall airfield as a fly-in scrappage site. In the announcement (Key Publishing - Historic Aviation) it was stated that the Min of Justice "own" the whole site - but are only using part of the (mainly) domestic accommodation site for HM Prison Bure. If they do, indeed, own the whole site then they might have the site plan showing those buildings and the two pill-boxes! Coltishall to rise Phoenix-like from the flames??
